Main Hall
Inner sanctuary of a shrine, temple or temple
prayer service(fire offering : Ogoma)
Said to have been originally built in the first half of the 9th century (826 CE), the Main Hall was rebuilt during the 20th century (1971 CE) to incorporate seismic resistance and fire safety. The Eleven-Faced Kannon and Kobodaishi are celebrated inside the hall.
About six time daily, the Main Hall reserves time for prayers (fire offering: Ogoma) that ward off misfortune. To observe the rite, remove footwear, place in a plastic bag, and enter the Main Hall.
Deposit offering (Japanese yen) into the offering box, and place both palms together quietly in prayer. Bow once after praying, with both palms still together.
