Plum Blossoms（Ume）

Plum trees are planted around the Main Hall, Daihonbo courtyard, and grand entrance and courtyard of Daishoin. Over twenty varieties of plum blossoms appear around New Year's Day of the lunar calendar (early February). The contrasting red and white celebratory colors delight with their beauty and scent.
