Final Daishi of the Year（Osame no Daishi）

The final festival date of the year is marked by large crowds making their way to greet Kobodaishi and offer prayers of gratitude for the closing year.
The temple grounds host the year's final rake market in Tokyo. The ornamental rakes are considered good omens for business prosperity; the idea coming from the old-time wish to "rake in" happiness and wealth. Displaying a rake larger than the prior year is believed to lead to a more prosperous business in the coming year.
