A temple festival（Goen-nichi）

The celebratory dates are the same every month; special dates are reserved to establish a stronger connection to the Buddha and the gods.
Worshipping on one of these days is considered especially auspicious. In particular, the 21st marks the day that Kobodaishi passed from this world and remains the day when many worshippers visit.
The first celebratory date for Kobodaishi at the beginning of the year brings many worshippers to pray for good health.

Each spring on the 21st of March, April, and May, the temple hosts a garden-plant market on the grounds; many nurseries have stalls open on these dates.
